What We Believe
FPC Wichita identifies itself as a United Pentecostal Church International congregation. This concise overview follows the UPCI’s current published beliefs.
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living.
There is one God. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh—fully God and fully man.
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation is by grace through faith because of the atoning work of Jesus Christ.
The saving gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Apostolic response is repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and receiving the Holy Spirit.
Christians are called to love God and others, live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, worship joyfully, and believe the gifts of the Spirit are for the church today.
Jesus Christ is coming again. Scripture teaches resurrection, final judgment, eternal life, and eternal death.
